1.Peking 北京 (Běi jīng)

Its large port is China's main hub for transportation and trade. It was also one of the places where the old Silk Road, which was a trade route across Asia, began.
4. Guilin 桂林 (Guì lín)
Guilin, with its marvelous limestone scenery, is renowned as one of the most beautiful places on earth. During his visit, former US President Nixon was inspired by Guilin's picturesque natural scenery and remarked: "I have visited more than eighty countries and over a hundred cities. I have found that no city can surpass the beauty of Guilin."
5. Chengdu 成都 (Chéng dū)
Chengdu is the hometown of Giant Pandas. Although there are giant pandas in zoos in various places around China, the best place to see pandas is in Chengdu.
6. Xi'an 西安 (Xī'ān)
As the second most famous of China's ancient national capitals (after Beijing), Xi'an was the first capital of a united China in 221 BC (the Qin Dynasty). Thus Xi'an is blessed with a great number of precious relics and historical sites.
7. Lhasa 拉萨 (Lā sà)
Lhasa,the capital of Tibet, is the center of Tibetan cultural and religious life. Most tourists enter Tibet via Lhasa. Outside the city is Tibet's wealth of natural wonders and holy sites, from Lake Namtso to Mt. Everest, to Mount Kailash.
8. Hangzhou 杭州 (Háng zhōu)
Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province and one of the most impressive tourist destinations in China. Hangzhou, which is known as the "Capital of Tea in China," has been a well-known place for making tea in China since ancient times.
9. Dali 大理 (Dà lǐ)
Dali is a city in China’s southwestern Yunnan province, on the shores of Erhai Lake. One of Yunnan's most popular tourist spots, the old town is known for its beautiful scenery, rich history and culture, and lively nightlife.
10. Harbin 哈尔滨 (Hā ěr bīn)
Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang, China’s northernmost province. Harbin is known for its cold winters, sculptures made of ice and snow, ski resorts, and unique buildings. From the end of December to the beginning of February, the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival turns a lot of the city into a snowy wonderland.
